New Year New Us

Posted on February 13, 2018

Hey, we’ve missed you. As most of you already know we had a pretty gnarly incident towards the end of last summer. Long story short, we had an 8’ x 2’ foot chunk of ceiling fall from the heavens, square onto several of our taps, and flood our place with beer.

“The thought of a beer flood definitely played out differently in our heads”.

Luckily, no one was injured as the incident happened in the middle of the night.  However, we decided the safest route to take was to replace the whole ceiling so that this could never happen again. The last thing we want is for one of you to finally get your piping hot spicy pie fresh from our brick oven and then have it ruined by some random ceiling chunk falling on you or anyone else there. That’s not cool.

We began our rebuilding phase almost right away with the intention of having fresh pizza back on your plate in a month or two. With all that it takes to replace a ceiling (we realized ceilings aren’t easy) our timeline had to extend a bit, BUT we were able to OPEN February 12th, 2018.

“The best Pizza in the Land is coming back with a vengeance!”

You heard us right! Pizza (216) is now up and running and you can now get that spicy pie with absolutely no chunks of ceiling (here at Pizza (216) we don’t believe ceilings or pineapple should go on pizza).

Not only are we going to reopen with the same favorites you have come to love and crave but we are rolling out a new menu and drink list as well as bringing you more revamped specials and events. We’ll be rolling out both a  Pizza, and Beer of the Month, to highlight amazing craft beers that we think accentuate the best pies in the Land. We’re also rolling out a signature cocktail list curated by our head bartender and mixologist, Jessica Taylor.

Check back for regular updates. Make sure to do us a solid and follow us on facebook, twitter, and instagram.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for all your thoughts and kind words as we went through what can only be called “a restaurateur’s nightmare”. As they say in Cleveland nothing is given and everything is earned. We have worked hard to get back to serving the best pizza in the city and can’t wait to get back at it.

Thank You and never forget to Eat Pizza Every Day.
